Leda Vaneva builds encounters with points of view outside of the human, hoping to spark curiosity and questions in the viewer about larger systems. She works extensively with video, drawing and digital fabrication. From 3d scanning to graphite pencil, she creates with what is seen by the technology, and imagines what it leaves out. There are no people in her work, intentionally. A human body puts every piece into a human frame of reference, and Leda Vaneva is interested in what comes up beyond that.

Leda holds MA degrees in New Media from Aalto University (FI) and Photography from the National Art Academy (BG). Her work has been exhibited at a number of venues in Bulgaria, Finland, Austria, Spain, Germany, South Korea, Hong Kong. It has been included in the collections of Sofia City Gallery and the European Parliament.
